An intimate and stylish four-bedroom retreat in North Goa’s hippest village, Assagao. Perfect for families, couples and a group of friends who want to be in a peaceful location but close to all the action. Designed by Pio Coffrant, the man behind successful hotels such as the Rose, Colaba House and Bungalow 99, the villa offers personalized service, a refreshing pool and local home food. Assagao Bay is a short drive from some of Goa’s best beaches such as Ashwem and Morjim, and walking distance to famous restaurants such as Gunpowder and Sublime. All in all, it makes an excellent base to meet locals, explore Goa’s restaurants, and visit its best beaches.
The villa offers 4 spacious and stylish bedrooms with large ensuite bathrooms. King size beds are covered in fine linens, and decor is tasteful with custom made furniture and an interesting collection of artworks. Toiletries made with natural essences compliment the acqua colour palette used throughout the villa.
The ground floor feels tropical and verdant with local plants. It hosts a large living room with a library, a TV room with comfortable sofas, a long pool with sun beds, a long dining table and 2 bedrooms facing the pool and garden respectively. The Master Suite is on the first floor, beautifully appointed with a large terrace and a gorgeous bed made of local shells. A smaller intimate room with a large ensuite bathroom features a lovely balcony overlooking the pool. Meals are taken in the long open verandah connecting the different parts of the villa.
You can rent the whole house which can sleep 8 adults. Cots can be arranged for children. The house is fully staffed, with a cook and housekeeping services.

Complimentary breakfast- Indian or Continental is served in the verandah. Local bread is served with Kerala spiced scrambled organic eggs or Turkish eggs. Locally sourced sausage, cheese, jam, butter, tea and single origin coffee are served alongside fresh fruits and homemade yoghurt . The hosts are sensitive to dietary restrictions and gluten free/ vegan dishes can be arranged upon request. The house has a dedicated cook whipping up delicious local cuisine for dinner or fresh salads and soups for a light lunch. Meals are chargeable and require prior notice.
Assagao Bay is located in the charming village of Assagao in the Bardez district of North Goa. Dabolim Airport is approximately 50 kms away and takes over an hour’s drive. Thivim is the closest train station.
