A perfect hideaway that is under the radar given its central location where you can lounge on daybeds by the infinity pool or practice yoga in the gorgeous pavilion with an endless view of rice paddy fields
Set in an acre and a half of tropical gardens, the property consists of an old Goan main house, two beautifully designed new buildings with five bedrooms, a twenty meter natural infinity pool and a yoga pavilion, by Italian architect Annalisa Bellettati. Designed to invite the outdoors in, the new structures are an example of fine contemporary architecture with Indian and Portuguese influences. The entire property exudes the feeling of the Portuguese- Goan word, Susegad.
Frangipani is ideal for families and a group of friends who would like to socialize and yet again maintain their privacy. Tall trees planted around the property act as natural barriers that separate parts of the house from each other. It is ideally located between the village of Assagao and the popular beaches of Morjim, Ashwem and Mandrem, making it suitable for outdoor activities as well as dining in Goa’s finest restaurants.
An immaculately restored old Goan house is the heart of Frangipani. It serves as a common space, with dining , fully equipped kitchen and recreation areas, and a spacious balcao running along three sides of the house that looks onto the lush garden on two sides and towards the pool area. Located off the side of the main house, the five bedrooms at Frangipani are large, tranquil spaces that are open and private at the same time.
Although built in the same style, each room has its own particularities and charms – no two are the same. What is common to all of them though, is a king size bed, en-suite bathroom and private sitting area, and fans and air- conditioning in the sleeping area. With cool stone floors, wood walls with large sliding doors, weather resistant Italian Onduline roof tiles, and signature Goan-Portuguese oyster shell windows, every room is a little home in itself. At the very end of the property, the view is open to paddy fields as far as the eye can see.

Complimentary breakfast is served daily which includes fresh fruit, juices, free range eggs, and local poi bread. Food is sourced from their own vegetable garden as much as possible. The in-house cook Greta is very gifted and prepares lunch or dinner with fresh, local ingredients upon request. We highly recommend her Goan dishes as well as saldas, pastas and seafood specialities. Ask your hosts for recommendations and help with reservations for nearby restaurants as they know most of the chefs and restaurateurs personally.
